NIC Annual Conference

"Celebrate God's Amazing Work" is the theme for the 173rd Northern Illinois Conference Session to be held at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles.

 

As Bishop Hee-Soo Jung wrote in his letter calling the NIC to Conference:

 

God is truly amazing.  In a world fraught with challenges it would be easy to become cynics focused on scarcity, consuned by pessimism, paralyzed by uncertainty.  Yet, we "Celebrate God's Amazing Work".  As United Methodists we see the power of prayer changing lives in our churches.  We know the importance of faith making a difference in our neighborhoods.  We witness the beauty of God's spirit reaching souls for Christ across the seas.

 

This year during the 173rd gathering of our Conference we have the opportunity to celebrate many of the ways in which God is doing amazing things through us, among us and beyond us.

 


Welcome to Good Samaritan United Methodist Church in Addison, IL.  We are eager to make you feel welcome and at home among friends.

 

Here, you have the opportunity to join a loving community where you celebrate your faith, grow in Christ-like ways as you pursue the teachings of Jesus Christ,and become a part of vital ministry to the surrounding community.

 

We are really delighted that you are interested in Good Samaritan United Methodist Church.  We hope you have shared worship with us already, but if you haven't we do hope you will join us.

 

Whatever your age or interest, you'll find plenty of activities for you and your family to become involved in at Good Samaritan.  We will help you learn how to grow spiritually as you find the most effective way to use you spiitual gifts.

 

Sunday School (All Ages) 9:00 a.m.

Prayer Time 9:30 a.m.

SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE    10:00 a.m.
This service is a traditional worship service, incorporating hymns, prayer, scripture, and sermon as well as a children’s sermon.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month, and the sacrament of Christian baptism is frequently observed.

 

Evening Prayer  Wednesdays 7:00 p.m.

Choir Rehearsel  Wednesdays 7:30 p.m.
